International Technology Rental Association Board
Membership 2008 Update
During its 2008 annual meeting in San Antonio, Texas, the
ITRA elected the following board members to a two year term: Steve Shatsoff, Rent-a-PC; David Veeder, Technology Rentals of America; Tom Hornyak, Micro Rental Service, Inc; Jim Butler, Envision Media; Wayne Springer, Atiwah Computing Inc; Dan Kallen, Hartford Technology rentals;
Dennis Pugh, MCR Rental Solutions.
The International Technology Rental Association (ITRA) is the leading technology rental industry association among US, Canadian and UK industry professionals.
All board members were elected by majority vote. The vote consisted of the membership present at the 2008
ITRA Annual Meeting.

“The ITRA has a long history of
having board members who are industry
experts and experienced entrepreneurs
from a wide range of geographic
locations. No two board members were
from the same region of the United
States. Also, one board member was from the UK,
and one member was from Canada.“
Steve Shatsoff, was returned to a two year term as President of the ITRA. Mr. Shatsoff has been with Rent-a-PC since 1985. In addition to his leadership role in the
ITRA, Mr. Shatsoff is actively involved in such organizations as MPI, the International Special Events Society, Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association, International Association for Exhibition Management, The Center for Association Leadership, the New York State Society of Association Executives and the Convention and Visitors Bureaus of Orlando and Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Shatsoff holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Herbert H. Lehman College. He has been instrumental in Rent-a-PC’s nationwide expansion, development of new vertical markets and serves as Rent-a-PC's Senior Vice President.
David Veeder of Technology Rentals of America was elected as the
ITRA’s Vice President. Mr. Veeder has a background in the
hospitality field and has worked for Holiday Inn, Marriott and Omni Hotels after he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Johnson and Wales
University. Mr. Veeder has served as Technical Director and Operations Manager and now is Vice President of Operations for Technology Rentals of
America in New York.
Jim Butler of
Hamilton Rentals plc will serve as the
ITRA’s Secretary. Mr. Butler is based
in London, England. He has worked within
the IT industry for 23 years with
Digital Equipment Company (DEC) and
Hamilton Rentals PLC. Mr. Butler has
served as HP Rental Sales Director,
Rental Sales Director and Events
Director with Hamilton Rentals for the
past 13 years.
ITRA Treasurer Tom Hornyak is a CPA and started his
Pennsylvania company, Micro Rental
Service, Inc. in 1984. Tom Hornyak is a
Certified Public Accountant and a member
of both the American and Pennsylvania
Institutes of Certified Public
Accountants. He has served on both the
Management Advisory Services and
Construction committees of the PICPA and
is a 1972 graduate of The Pennsylvania
State University. The primary vertical
markets addressed by his company are
Construction, Non-profit Agencies, Local
Government, Accounting Firms, Nursing
Homes and Manufacturers/Distributors.
ITRA Member at
Large, Wayne Springer started Atiwa
Computing, Inc. (pronounced "ut-TEE-wuh")
in 1983. Mr. Springer has expanded his
company into various computer related
services in Texas.
Dennis Pugh, ITRA Member at Large is
.... of MCR Soultions.
Dan Kellen, also
ITRA Member at Large, is Vice President
of Hartford Technology Rentals and has
been in the industry for 16 years and
works out of Hartford's corporate
headquarters in Chicago, Illnois.

Formerly the National Computer Rental
Association (est. 1998), the ITRA has
37 international member companies
located in the United States, Canada and
the UK. Companies are made members by
invitation only and must pass general
membership approval prior to acceptance
into the association. The ITRA
requires its member companies to have
the highest standards of performance in
the computer rental or audio visual
