Press Release By John Beagle The National Computer Rental Association (NCRA) announces name change at Annual Conference
January 13, 2005 -The National Computer
Rental Association, known as the NCRA, changed its name to the
International Technology Rental Association, IT-RA.
The National Computer Rental Association started out as a US based organization in 1998. Three Canadian companies joined the organization in 1999 and 2000. A third country was added to the association when a computer rental company from the UK became a member. Over the past several years, the NCRA had struggled to come up with a name change that more accurately reflected the NCRA's international and technology expansions. The decision to change the association name was made at the latest annual conference held in Miami, Florida, USA held January 5th through January 9th, 2005. NCRA President Gene Altman of Computer Rentals of America
presided over the vote that was handled by NCRA Secretary Eric
Sambold of Mad Computing in San Diego, California, USA. The majority of the NCRA membership voted to formerly change
its name from the National Computer Rentals Association (NCRA) to
the International Technology Rental Association (IT-RA). Product and service lines include: Presentation Services; Audio
Visual Equipment, including Plasma, DLP and LCD Flat Screen
Display Rentals; Computer Rentals; Laptop Rentals; File Server
Rentals; Mid-range and Larger Server Rentals; Projector Equipment
Rentals; Rear Screen Projection Equipment; wireless sound systems;
pipe and drape; and other technology rentals. Each member company
provides high quality local service for any corporate technology
rental requirement. To ensure high quality service, look for the IT-RA name and link back to the IT-RA.org website from genuine IT-RA membership websites. Additional Information regarding the NCRA/IT-RA: In 1998 the National Computer Rental Association formed in the United States with 10 independent companies. As of January 2005, the IT-RA (formerly the NCRA) has 35 member companies. IT-RA member companies all have high standards of performance in the computer rental or audio visual industry. Companies are made members by invitation only and must pass general membership approval prior to acceptance into the association. Visit the IT-RA at: http://www.IT-RA.org |
